HOW THE ZONO™ CABINET WORKS
Ozone, a gas composed of three oxygen atoms, serves as a powerful disinfectant and sanitizer machine due to its ability to alter the chemical composition of substances. Recognized for over a century, ozone is extensively utilized in water treatment, including an automated disinfection system for municipal water supplies and swimming pools, and significantly reduces offensive odors.
HOW A ZONO™ CYCLE WORKS
At the start of the 38-minute cycle, the ZONO™ Ozone machine draws oxygen (O₂) into the on-demand generator (engine) creating a conversion to ozone (O₃).
Once items are disinfected and sanitized, the ozone (O₃) is then converted back to oxygen (O₂), making it safe to open the doors at the end of each cycle.
OZONE GENERATION
Inside the ZONO™ cabinet, on-demand ozone and humidity is generated to a disinfecting and sanitizing combination killing 99.9% of common viruses+ and bacteria* and reduces offensive odor.
OZONE MOLECULES (O₃)
- The ozone (O₃) comes into contact with the transmissible pathogens.
- The third oxygen atom (O) in the ozone molecule is unstable and becomes absorbed by the dangerous pathogen.
- That oxygen atom (O) penetrates the dangerous pathogen cell wall damaging its cellular structure.
OZONE CONVERSION
